Cheese and Capsicum Gravy
Hello everyone๐ today I am sharing one of the best recipes that I learnt from my mother.
This is one of the best vegetarian dishes that my family really enjoys and loves to eat, the aroma of spices and the cheesy flavour, can't stop you to try it.
This dish is so famous in North India, especially in Punjab that you must try to make it once with naan, writing about this dish is itself compelling me to cook it again.๐
So let's not wait much let me introduce you with the ingredients which we are using to make it. I am making this for four people.
1) Cheese- 400gm
2) Capsicum-300gm
3) Tomatoes- 4
4) Onion- 1
5) Garlic and Ginger paste
6) Green chilli-2
7) Cumin seeds
8) Cloves ( 3-5)
9) Cardamom (2-3)
10)Cinnamon (one small stick)
11)Turmeric ( 1-2 teaspoon)
12) Red chilli powder( you can skip it, depends on how much spicy you want)
13) Coriander powder (2-3 teaspoon)
14) Dried Fenugreek leaves (a pinch of it)
15) Salt (according to taste)
16) Dry fruit paste: Cashew, Almonds, Pistachio ( a handful of all)
Total time: 30-35minutes
Process:

Garnish it with Green Coriander leaves and Serve this dish with Chappati or Naan. I prefer Naan with this dish.YUM!!!!!
and for the calories... hmm.. you have to burn it next day๐๐
Here is the full video of the recipe:
I hope you'll enjoy cooking and relish this dish as I do.

ReplyDeleteI love Indian cuisine, and this looks tasty! I'm allergic to cashews and pistachios. Can you use almonds and/or peanuts instead? Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!
ReplyDeleteAlmonds would be fine but peanuts will make this dish more heavy to digest. You can use handful soaked almonds or you can skip this step too. Just add the capsicum and cheese into the tadka. Thank you for liking my post.
